All characters are werewolves. Big, mean and furry. They also have a social conscience, and are fanatically ecologically conscious. Gaia is being poisoned by foul beasts of the Weaver and the Wyrm. Werewolves are Mother Nature's hairy hit-squad.
There's not really as much to werewolf legends, as opposed to vampire stories, so White Wolf have added a lot of extra stuff. Basically yes, werewolves tend to come out on moonlit nights, and have an aversion to silver, but there's plenty of new ideas in this game too. Maybe you'll like them, maybe you won't.
Werewolves seem to spend a lot of time faffing about on the Spirit Plane, astrally projecting, and doing other shamanistic things, alongside the mandatory rending, howling, and sticking their heads out of car windows.
£16ish for a hardback second-edition rulebook. There are assorted other books/supplements available if you really feel enthused.
