Rolemaster

Description

A somewhat over-complicated RPG that nevertheless works quite well once you're used to it. Each weapon/attack form has it's own attack table, but this kind of adds to the fun. The magic system is quite detailed, and flexible. The real highlights of this system are the critical tables, with explicit, and often amusing descriptions of their effects.

Rulebooks

Usually a boxed set of three - Arms Law/Claw Law; Character/Campaign Law; and Spell Law. Allow at least £20 for the set. It's useful if all players have ready access to Arms Law/Claw Law, since combat involves flicking through it between the attack and critical tables. Published by Iron Crown Enterprises (ICE).

Modules

Getting harder to find now, but quite detailed if you do.

Chris' Rolemaster Campaign - Someone has attempted to put details of their campaign on the Web. It's got quite a few irritating holes in it, but there's enough there to be worth looking at.

Aergon : The ultimate Tree is another world-description worth investigating.

Iron Crown Enterprises pages have lists of their products, and that sort of stuff. Also some errata, and links to other sites. Very promising indeed.

The World of Xharvania - High fantasy, and lots of it. An extensive world setting.
