Mage: The Ascension

Description

It's intended as a kind of Ars Magica for the modern world, although the feel of the game is somewhat different. The latest version is the nice hardback Edition 2, and is well worth reading through if you like the ideas.

Characters are members of the select few who recognise the existance of magic, and as a consequence, can utilise it.

Many people consider the game to be fundamentally flawed, and the possibilities for argument over rules interpretation seem endless. Perhaps this is a game for the strong-willed GM only. It's nice to have as idea-fodder in general though.
